LAUNCHING SEPTEMBER 14TH! COME ALONG TO OUR SPECIAL EVENT TO MEET SOME OF THE ANIMALS AND ADOPT ON THE DAY!
Ever wanted to adopt your favourite animal at Hope Nature Centre? Well now you can! Help support some of our favourite animals by adopting them for a year. As a thank you you’ll get an adoption pack which includes: a certificate, a Hope Nature Centre pen, a photo of your animal and 2 tickets to visit Hope Nature Centre to see your animal.
Take a look at some of the animals that you’re able to adopt.
ANIMAL: SHETLAND PONY
Alfie was one of the first animals we had here at Hope Nature Centre. His favourite snack is apple and carrot, and he always loves a fuss being made of him.
Alpacas don’t spit at you, they actually throw up on you! If that doesn’t make you want to adopt Dobby then we don’t know what will!
She is the oldest donkey we have but definitely the boss! She can usually be heard bossing the other donkeys around in between eating lots of grass.
Golden Guernsey goat which are a rare breed of goat. He’s a very friendly goat and is always running over to say hello, especially if you’ve got some feed!
ANIMAL: KUNEKUNE PIG
She sits on command like a dog when she is waiting for her food. She also loves to sit in muddy puddles (a bit like Peppa Pig!).
His snood changes colour when his mood changes. You can usually find him strutting around his paddock, being the boss.
She will always run over to greet you if you go to stroke her, and her favourite treat is carrot. She loves to sun bathe when the sun comes out!
ANIMAL: GIANT RABBIT
Stacey weighs roughly 6KG – the equivalent to 5 bags of sugar! They love to eat, and can get through 3 carrots a day, as well as all her normal food too.
Storm has no teeth, so she is only able to eat soft food. She is one of the oldest animals in our animal park, but is full of character and is very friendly.
ANIMAL: HIGHLAND CATTLE
Tattie is one of 2 Highland Cattle at Hope Nature Centre, her favourite snack is sticky weed, and is very friendly in temperament.
